The Challenge
Ren Energy struggled with a restrictive Joomla CMS, buggy real-time price calculations, and poor visibility into their customer drop-off rates. Their complex signup process—which required accurate monthly electricity estimates based on zip codes and accommodation types—was causing severe friction.
Furthermore, the marketing team lacked the tools to build custom landing pages or effectively track leads, hindering their ability to run agile campaigns. They needed a complete brand overhaul and a system that allowed seamless information flow between their B2B application, B2C mobile app, and administrative departments.
The Approach
We executed a complete brand identity refresh and migrated their infrastructure to a highly versatile WordPress ecosystem. We thoroughly reworked their API integrations, streamlining a complex process where a Swedish social security number automatically retrieves credit ratings and generates service agreements in real-time.
To empower internal teams, we built modular landing page components for marketing and a remote service-disruption banner for IT that doesn't require CMS access. We also implemented granular, GDPR-compliant tracking at every step of the funnel to capture abandoned leads, allowing the sales team to proactively reach out via phone to address customer dilemmas.
The Results
The seamless integration across platforms and the stabilized pricing APIs dramatically simplified the user journey, resulting in a massive 230% increase in completed signups. By tracking the exact points of friction, the sales team can now actively recover abandoned leads, directly boosting revenue.
Internally, the new WordPress components saved the marketing team over 70% in website management time. The entire technical, design, and integration overhaul was successfully launched within a tight four-month window.
